Hartlepool Borough Council is offering a wide range of free and reduced cost courses to local residents as part of its Learning and Skills Service.
Eligible students will have access to a variety of Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications, which focus on subjects as diverse as childcare and business management. Some courses are accredited and some are not, ensuring there are courses available to meet everybody’s needs. It is hoped these courses will help people into work and further study.
Learners who meet the criteria will be offered a 100 per cent fee remission. The main beneficiaries of the service will be unemployed young people and those on low incomes. Partial discounts will also be offered to people of any age who receive state benefits, as well as unwaged partners of those eligible for a full fee remission.
